We look for outgoing, hardworking, fun-loving individuals 16 + years of age who are team players and love to be around children ages 6 – 12 years.
Junior Counselors must be at least 16 years of age. It is preferable to have some experience as a Counselor-in-Training at other similar camps. You must have completed some work with children as a volunteer or as paid child care worker. Junior Counselors most usually have an interest in the arts and have some experience or training in one or more artistic areas of interest via their high school or through other lessons. Junior Counselors improve their skills for multi-tasking, diplomacy and leadership under the direction of Senior Counselors and other staff members.
All Junior Counselors are required to attend a general orientation as specified prior to beginning work at The Great thou Art Camp Art Camp. Orientation is paid at $9.25 per hour.

All Junior Counselors are expected to communicate directly with The Great thou Art Camp hiring staff during the entire application, training, assignment and performance process. (See “A Note to Parents about Employment for Students”)
All Junior Counselor assignments are based on expected enrollment and may be subject to change at the discretion of The Great thou Art Camp.
